Remnant wall scrawl designs in the old village where a couple families are still in preparation to dismantle their wood and bamboo huts to join the others in the valley below. The move was an economic one, as their new site offers much easier road access to sell their rice harvest to the government. Once secluded in the interior, their crops gain an advantage in being closer to a truck accessible path into the nearest small city. The old village surely has an abandoned air to it, trash is littered about, and an antique rice milling machine lays decrepit in tall weeds. Their water source tank is moldy but tapped well. The village will restore it and our team will build a filter to eventually purify it’s flow into the new village below.
